About Mary Lou Orndorff

I started watercolor painting over 30 years ago. I had an opportunity to study this medium in classes conducted by Kolan Peterson in California and later, by Roland Giampaoli in Boise.

I paint Boise cityscapes and historical buildings. I am inspired by the history of the buildings and the way these architectural treasures are put to modern use. I like to include people in these settings and strive to capture the vibrant, friendly atmosphere.

My work includes paintings of medieval buildings in Tuscany, Italy.  I loved learning about the history and the architecture in these ancient cities.

My paintings have been purchased and displayed in corporate settings as well as in private collections
